Necklaces by Holdfast Designs

My necklaces are made with either hand crafted lampwork (glass) beads or natural stone, incorporating sterling silver or gold-filled beads and chains. Where appropriate, Swarovski touches are also included.

Necklace lengths vary depending on the style and components and, in some cases, they can be lengthened or shortened without compromising the overall design or requiring a great amount of rework or restringing.

Black Spinel and Swarovski

In this necklace, I've combined clear Swarovksi with tiny black Swarovski crystals and large rounded cubes of black spinel into a necklace focal area. (Spinel is a naturally occurring crystal and is believed to possess calming and healing properties.) The chain of the necklace is sterling silver, accented with tiny black spinel beads.

The necklace is approximately 18 inches in length and closes with a tiny star-shaped toggle clasp.

Lapis Lazuli Fan

These graduated lapis lazuli beads form a graceful fan shape, separated by small gold-filled beads and set off by gold-filled chain. Lapis lazuli is reputed to encourage creativity, aid in taking charge of life and bring honesty, compassion and uprightness to the personality.

The necklace is approximately 16 inches in length and has a toggle clasp.

Red Flower Necklace

Incredibly delicate lampwork floral beads line up in this pretty necklace. The beads are approximately 2 mm thick and 6 mm in diameter. They are connected using Swarovski headpins and drop approximately 2 inches from the center of the necklace. The chain is a flattened oval gold filled chain.

The necklace length is 18 inches, and closes with a lobster-claw clasp.

Spring Fling Flower Necklace

Perfect for the season, this is a lovely sterling silver and Swarovski crystal necklace with a polymer clay focal bead. It incorporates shades of pink, blue, yellow, green and red - all the colors of the tulips that spring up each year!

A focal bead with swirls and shades of green and black is the center piece on this unique necklace. The center bead freely slides back and forth between stops of Swarovski crystal and black tiger eye on a sterling silver chain. An intricate "S"-hook clasp finishes the necklace.

Red Jasper Fan Necklace

This gemstone is said to combat exhaustion. Wear this beautiful fan necklace and look good while beating that fatigue!

Made of graduated pieces of red jasper and set between two sections of gold-filled oblong-link chain, this necklace is approximately 18 1/2 inches long and closes with an "S"-hook clasp.
